ENGLISH
THIS DOCUMENT MUST BE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLATION
These instructions are intended for: expert electricians or appropriately trained personnel.
1. Safety information
The plugs of the OPTIMA-EX series are used for fixed installations in environments with a potential
risk of explosion identified as Zone 22.
These instructions for installation, use and maintenance must be kept in a safe location for future
reference. During operation or maintenance work on the apparatus, do not leave this manual or
other objects inside the enclosure.
Use the OPTIMA-EX series plugs for their approved use only, and keep them completely intact and
clean.
The plugs have been designed to withstand shocks of 4 J and to be used under normal vibration
conditions. They have not been designed for use in environments subject to extreme vibrations.
The type of protection cannot be guaranteed if the product is installed incorrectly.
Use only original spare parts supplied by SCAME.
No modification/work is permitted on the plugs unless specifically indicated in this manual.
DO NOT OPEN THE ENERGISED ENCLOSURE IN PRESENCE OF AN EXPLOSIVE
ATMOSPHERE
Always follow the national safety rules and the safety instructions contained in this manual
whenever working on the plug.
2. Compliance with standards
The plugs of the OPTIMA-EX series are intended for use in:
Zone 22. (EN 60079-0:2012+A11:2013, EN 60079-31:2014).
