Jump starting a 12V vehicle and charging the Batteryless Jump Starter
Caution: Make sure to use this 12V Batteryless Jump Starter with a 12V battery or vehicle.
1. Make sure the vehicle ignition is in the "OFF" position and turn off ALL electronics in the vehicle (air conditioning, radio, lights, etc.)
2. Make sure the Batteryless Jump Starter is fully charged and the main switch is on the "OFF" position
3. Connect first the positive clamp (red) to the positive terminal of the battery
4. Then connect the negative (black) clamp to the negative terminal of the battery, or to the block of the engine or to the frame of the
vehicle (ground)
5. Make sure the device is stable and the cables are not in the path of moving belts, fans, etc...
6. Make sure the reverse polarity alarm is not making a loud noise and blinking
7. Once the clamps are positioned correctly, turn the main switch to the "ON" position
8. Stay clear off the device and the vehicle battery. Attempt to start the vehicle
Caution: Should the vehicle refuse to start within 3-10 seconds, have the Batteryless Jump Starter cool
down a minimum of 3 minutes before you attempt to start the vehicle again.
WARNING! OVERUSE MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF AN EXPLOSION, PERSONAL INJURY OR SEVERE DAMAGE
TO THE UNIT. ATTEMPTS TO START ALWAYS HAVE TO BE VERY SHORT.
9. Once the vehicle is started, the Batteryless Jump Starter will charge automatically.
Caution : DO NOT leave it connected for more than 2 minutes.
10. When the Batteryless Jump Starter is charged, turn the main switch to "OFF" position.
11. Always disconnect the clamps one at a time starting with the negative (black) and then the positive (red).
12. Store both clamps in their respective designated holders.

• The disposal of this equipment must follow the legislation of the respective country.
• All damaged, badly worn or improperly functioning devices MUST BE TAKEN OUT OF OPERATION.
• Repair only by technical maintenance staff.
Do not dispose of electric tools together with household waste material!
According to Directive 2012/19/EU concerning Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), this product must be recycled.
Please contact your „Customer Centre" or consult the website „www.cp.com" to find out where you can recycle this product.
