Remove the hex flange nuts (a) that secure each blade to the
spindle assembly. See Figure 15.
NOTE:
The hex flange nuts are secured using a standard thread
pattern. Turn counterclockwise to loosen.

Remove the blades (b) from the mowing deck. See Figure 15.

Replace or sharpen the blades. When switching to bagging
function, replace with high lift blades supplied in this kit. To
properly sharpen the cutting blades, see guidelines in mower
operator's manual.
An unbalanced blade will cause excessive vibration when rotating
at high speeds. It may cause damage to mower and could break
causing personal injury.

Slide the new or sharpened blades onto the spindle shafts with
the side marked "Grass Side" (or with part number) facing the
ground when the mower is in the operating position.
4.
Replace the hex flange nuts (a) and tighten to torque:
70 ft-lb (min.), 90 ft-lb (max.).
To ensure safe operation of your mower, periodically check the hex
flange nut for correct torque.
