5. Sequentially step up to the next larger ParaPost
Taper Lux Drill until the preplanned diameter and
depth are achieved ( ( F F i i g g . . 0 0 2 2 ) ) .
6. Use a cylindrical diamond or carbide bur to pre-
pare an anti-rotational box (Fig. 03).
7. Select the ParaPost Taper Lux Post that corre-
sponds to the last drill used in the preparation of
the post space. Remove colored band from post
head. Insert post into post space ( ( F F i i g g 0 0 4 4 ) ) .
Carefully check for occlusal clearance. Remove
post; shorten as necessary from occlusal end
with a Carborundum separating disk ( ( F F i i g g . . 0 0 5 5 ) ) .
Wear full face safety mask when shortening
post. (Wet the post with water before cutting and
rotate the post when cutting to ensure an even
cut through each fiber.)
8. After try-in and before cementing, gently clean
post with an alcohol wipe.
9. (Optional) Brush silane onto the post and allow
to dry.
10. Condition the canal and/or apply primer/adhe-
sive as per cement manufacturer's instructions
(we recommend ParaCem Universal DC
Cement).

11. Use the cement components according to man-
ufacturer's instructions and apply to post sur-
face. Use a Lentulo Spiral to coat the walls of the
post space with cement, if setting time of cement
will allow ( ( F F i i g g . . 0 0 6 6 ) ) .
12. Seat post immediately, slowly inserting the post
to full depth, allowing excess cement to vent
( ( F F i i g g . . 0 0 7 7 ) ) . Apply pressure for about 60 seconds.
13. In the event light-curing is required, wipe away
any excess cement before activating the light
and follow manufacturer's instructions. Place
curing light probe directly over the post, applying
gentle pressure with the curing light tip. Light-
cure for a minimum of 60 seconds (depending
on volume and depth). If you are using an LED
light, make sure your light-cured cement con-
tains the Camphorquinone (CQ) Photoinitiator. If
you have any questions, contact the cement
manufacturer.
14. Complete the core and fabricate the final restora-
tion ( ( F F i i g g . . 0 0 8 8 ) ) .
