10.3.- Region and Time
The receiver includes a clock to show the time. This clock self-adjusts using the
information provided by the service supplier in the TV signal itself.
Nevertheless, you can set the date and time without using the GMT option.
The service supplier sends two kinds of time information, one with the time of
day (for viewing on the clock), and the other informing the broadcasting times
of different events (for use on the EPG).
Both kinds of time information are sent in GMT format, so you must adjust the
receiver by entering the offset of your country time zone in this option.
Using the V V O O L L /V V O O L L
buttons, select the country in which the receiver
will be used. You can also press the O O K K button to enable an pop-up
menu, select one of the countries using the C C H H
press O O K K again to make the setting.
Using the V V O O L L /V V O O L L
options "Off", "User Define" and "by Region".
When the "Off" option is selected, it is up to the user to enter the date
and the time manually. To do this, click O O K K on one of the options
(Date/Time), entering the data with the C C H H
or with the numerical keyboard, and press O O K K again to make the setting.
When selecting the option "User Define", you must adjust the GMT Offset
to your time zone. To do that, use the V V O O L L /V V O O L L
whether you wish to set GMT time forward (+) or backward (-) by
complementary periods of 30 minutes.
Finally, if you select the "by Region" option, simply indicate whether to
enable or disable summer daylight saving time.
With the "Time Display" option enabled, current time is shown
permanently on screen. To enable or disable this option, use the V V O O L L
