Note: The Energy Saver function is enabled when the Energy Saver Switch
(see "Energy Saver Switch," below) is set to the "Energy Saver On" position.
Setting this switch to "Surge Protection Only" disables the Energy Saver
function and permits power to continuously flow to all outlets. The default
setting for the Energy Saver Switch is "Energy Saver On." Regardless of the
selected operating mode, all outlets are surge protected.
MASTER CONTROL OUTLET
The MASTER CONTROL outlet detects changes in the electric current of
the connected device and activates or deactivates the ENERGY SAVER
outlets accordingly.
The following electronic devices should be plugged into the MASTER
CONTROL outlet:
IN HOME OFFICE
Desktop PC
Laptop
IN HOME ENTERTAINMENT
TV
STEP 2
Connect secondary electronic devices to the ENERGY SAVER outlets.
ENERGY SAVER OUTLETS
These outlets are for devices that do not require constant power and
can be completely turned off when not in use. To conserve energy, these
outlets are automatically activated and deactivated by the MASTER
CONTROL outlet.
The following electronic devices should be plugged into the ENERGY
SAVER outlets:
IN HOME OFFICE
Monitor
Powered speakers
Scanner
Printer
IN HOME ENTERTAINMENT
DVD player
Amplifier/receiver
Game console
Powered subwoofer
