Turn OFF your portable radio.

Attach the Temple Transducer connector to the
Interface Module.

Turn the portable radio ON, adjusting the audio
volume to an appropriate level.

Press and hold down the PTT or if applicable
select VOX and begin speaking in order to
transmit.
NOTE:
Your microphone will return to the receiving
mode when you release the PTT button
after you finish speaking.
You may actually feel the Temple Transducer shake or
vibrate when the receive volume is too high. For more
comfortable use, set the receive volume to an
appropriate level on your portable radio. If the receive
audio is not loud enough (such as in a very noisy
environment), use foam or rubber earplugs. When
you use foam or rubber earplugs, you may or may not
have to increase the radio's receive volume to
achieve a higher receiving audio from the Temple
Transducer.
