MANUAL DE INSTRUCCIONES
Keep in mind:
- The probe constant is a probe
parameter that can be:
0.01, 0.1, 1 or 10. If the probe
constant is specifi ed with an exact
number, enter the nearest value.
(Example: 0.97 select constant = 1)
- The Correction factor is calculated
every time that the unit must be
calibrated.
Note:
If the temperature entered manually is
far from the real temperature, the con-
ductivity reading could have a big error.

6 Operation
6.1 Locate and connection to the power supply
Place the conductivity meter on a surface even, plane, free of dust, out of the direct
sunlight and near to a power supply plug. To an ergonomic use, left about 30 cm
free from objects around.
Before to connect the device to the mains check that the voltage is the indicated on
the feature label attached on the device. Use the supplied connection cord plugged
to a socked properly hearted.
6.2 Connection of the electrode and temperature probe
Temperature probe: Connector BNC mini: It has to be extracted and locked by
turning 1/4 of turn.
Connector of conductivity probe: Hold the el connector by its rear part, press
and turn.
Disconnect: Pull back from the front of the connector.

6.3 Control panel

The device starts up by the main switch on the rear part (18).
All functions of the equipment can be selected by the keyboard:
Key "COND/TDS" (8): Pressing the key «COND/TDS» can be selected the reading
mode "S/cm" or salinity "mg/L".
Keys "CONS" (9) (probe constant): With the keys "
ies: 0.01, 0.1, 1 and 10.
Keys "ADJ" (10) (adjust): With the keys "
to adjust the value and makes it meet with a pattern.
Keys "TEMP" (11) (temperature): With the keys "
temperature can be introduced manually when there are not any temperature
probe connected.
Key "ENTER" (12): Key to confi rm values.
• ºC: To manually enter the temperature if there's no probe connected. Use the

6.4 Temperature constant
The temperature constant is a feature from the conductivity probe given by the manu-
facturer. It can be 0.01, 0.1, 1 or 10. If the probe specifi es a different value must be
selected the nearest one, for example, if the values is 0.97 se must be selected 1.
