CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning. Never immerse
the base area or cord in water, or allow moisture to contact with these parts.
NOTE: Lime Scale forms over time when water is heated. Though scale is natural and
harmless, it may produce a powdery substance or mineral-like chunks that can get
into your hot beverages and affect the taste. While the concealed heating element in
this kettle is designed to help reduce scale buildup, the filter helps prevent particles
from pouring into your beverage
Removal of mineral deposits and Lime Scale
Mineral deposits in tap water may cause the kettle interior to discolor .To remove this build-
up, use Liquid De-scaler, a simple to use, non-toxic cleaner.
Alternatively:
1. Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and the remainder with water and be allowed
to stand overnight. DO NOT BOIL!
2. Empty the solution from the kettle, any stains remaining inside the spout can be
removed by rubbing with a damp cloth. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring to boil and
then discard the water. Repeat and the kettle will then be ready to use.
The outside of the kettle can be wiped over with a damp cloth.
