POSITIONING AND STARTING
Follow the following precautions when positioning the appliance:
• Put the appliance on a horizontal surface.
• Put the appliance so that it is protected against overheating.
• Plug the power cord into the power socket.
Warnings:
Electric shock hazard in case of use of the
appliance with damaged power cord. Nev-
er start the appliance with damaged power
cord.
Attention!
Burn hazard. The toaster surface heats up
during functioning. Do not touch the toast-
er surface.
While using the appliance for the fi rst time, let it operate empty, until
fumes caused by manufacturing residues burning on the heating re-
sistance have dissipated.
• Unroll the whole power cord before connecting the appliance to the
electric power source.
• Make sure the crumb tray (4) is properly positioned.
• Leave the appliance cool down and disconnect it from power socket to
clean both tongs using a damp cloth or a sponge, then wipe them with
a soft cloth.
• Put the slices of bread into the tongs (3) and insert them into the cook-
ing slots (2) (Fig. C).
The appliance can be used also without inserting bread slices into
tongs but simply inserting them into the cooking slots.
Attention!
Fire hazard. Do not place the appliance on
tablecloths, paper sheets, etc.
