M54504 - EXP. CARD Ethernet & μSD
This is a descriptive manual of the procedure to insert and
configure the inputs/outputs expansion card (relay) of the
CVMk2.
You can download the complete manual in digital format
from www.circutor.com
Before any maintenance, modification to the
connections, repair, etc., the equipment must
be disconnected from the supply and the
measure connections. If wrong operation is
suspected the equipment must remain out of service. The
equipment is designed to changed quickly in the event
of any breakdown.
1. CARD INSTALLATION
Disconnect from supply and measure the device.
Remove the screw and the cover
Insert the card in the guides.
Press the card carefully.
Put the cover and the screw.

It creates a single file of events *. EVQ which holds
all voltage events. The files *. STD, are generated
automatically every day.

3. COMMUNICATIONS
The ethernet and memory card for CVMk2, is designed
specifically to communicate in an ethernet network.
ETHERNET network optimize the IT structure and facilitate
the installation.
3.1. IP SETTING
You can use the Power Studio SCADA (you can download
from www.circutor.com), or by ARP comands.
As example if you want to configure the IP address
172.16.14.254 and the MAC address of the card is 00-20-
4A-8D-66-66.
a) Once that is done, enter the following command to
assign the IP address to the expansion card connection.
b) Now, execute a telnet to port 1. The connection attempt
will always fail, but the CVMk2 will change its IP to the one
previously assigned.
c) Finally, execute a telnet to port 9999 and configure all
the required parameters. Then, it is possible to begin
configuration of the expansion card's Ethernet converter.
It is very important to save the changes before exiting
the configuration menu. Example:
key. Now, we have to

or
). We have
in the system, enter the configuration menu, verify the
modifications and exit the menu after saving changes.
Accordingly, the new IP will be saved in the analyzer.

cards with documents that you want to
conserve.
: Erase the last record file.
: Erase the last voltage event detected.
: Stops the communications between device
and memory microSD.
ATENCIÓN: Before to extract the microSD
memory from the device, we have to
stop the communications between device
and microSD card. If don't srops the
communications, the microSD memory card
could be damaged.

The connection to the master system, ethernet cabling is
done through four twisted pairs (shielded). Connect at one
end of the card and the other end electronics network (hub
or switch) to the corporate network.
In the case of wanting to make a direct connection to a
computer or device with ethernet input, ethernet cable wi-
res must have a special provision for such communication
4. PARAMETRES
To see the parameters of the microSD memory card, you
have to unfold the window menu and select exp.card.
Select card 1, card 2 or card 3 depending on the position
of the card and will see the parameters:
MEM.size
•
: microSD Capacity in Mb
recorded
•
: Recorded days since last memory format.
events
•
: Voltage events detected since last memory
format
•
free
: % of free memory
•
status
: Indicates the status of the microSD:
a)
SD.OK
: it is correct
b)
No SD
: No microSD detected
c)
WR PROTE
: The microSD has the wirte
protection enable
d)
SD error
: format microSD must done.
5. VARIABLES SELECTION
The card is programmed to record 234 predefined
variables.
In the event that the user needs to modify the selection of
variables, you must use the Power Studio software found
on the web CIRCUTOR, www.circutor.com
After communicating with the computer using the software,
you have access to the driver of the team and therefore
access to the configuration of the card
The user must select the expansion card to be enabled the
following option:
A window will be opened in which displays all the variables
the user can select to register.
6. ICONS
Correct status of microSD memory.
Incorrect status of microSD memory.
microSD card extraction enable.
