listings.
Monitoring weak signals:
You can use the MONITOR feature to check for weak signals in the current channel, where the
automatic squelch system should no more be able to open without interruptions.
•
Press the MONITOR M button once to activate this function.
•
Rx BUSY icon will display on the LCD Screen while this function is activated.
•
Press again the MONITOR M button to deactivate the function.
Channel Scan:
Channel SCAN performs automatic searches for active signals in an endless loop over all channels
from 1 to 8.
•
Press MENU button
SCAN. The channel number on the LCD Screen changes rapidly until an active signal is
detected during channel scan mode.
•
Press ENTER button

4 times to deactivate channel scan mode again.

When an active signal (on one of 8 channels) is detected, scan mode pauses about 3 seconds
while You can hear the radio traffic on the active channel.
•
Press the PTT button when You want to communicate with stations on the active channel. This
will immediately stop further scanning.
Skip undesired channel: When an active signal (one of 8 channels) is detected, but another channel is
desired, press the monitor M button 2 times to bypass the current channel and continue to search for
another active channel.
Enter / Display backlight / Keyboard / Button lock feature:

Dual Watch:
You can use Dual Watch to monitor 2 channels, e.g. Your prefered channels. To enter Dual Watch
mode:

Select the first of the 2 channels You intend to observe

Press MENU button

Once Dual Watch is on, the radio automatically scans between both prefixed channels and
stops on the channel where a radio signal is detected. Dual Watch restarts when the carrier
disappears.
During Dual Watch mode, You may use the MONITOR M button to monitor weak signals. To stop Dual
Watch mode, press ENTER
