Battery Conditioner and Battery Adapter.

Whether the battery housing is damaged.

Whether the liquid level of the battery is ok.. if not, fill up with distilled water.

The pole contacts. Clean corrosions, if.

The battery tension with a volt meter. Tension should not be less the 9V. if under 9V, a cell
could be defect. In such a case the battery has to be regarded as defect and may not by
re-charged.

Conditioning. Because of cyclical charging and un loading the battery is regularly in a forming

Back-up power supply. In case of exchange of the starter battery all volatile memories of the
comfort electronic (bord computer, car clock, radio code, etc.) will loose their data. The Ba-
ttery-Conditioner can be used as supplier of these volatile memories. So the stored data will
be maintained.
Switch off ignition of your car.
Put the cable of the Battery-Conditioner directly into a 230V/50Hz socket.
Put the plug of the Battery-conditioner into the cigarette lighter.
For direct loading with the battery and adapter cable as well battery clamps are included.
After use disconnect at first the 12V connection.
As soon as the Battery-Conditioner is connected, charging (yellow LED) or unloading
(green LED) is started (yellow LED) according to the power level of the battery. During
charging time the battery is charged with a constant charging current (1000 mA) until the
final charging level of 14V is reached. In the following charging phase the charging current
decreases relative to the charging level of the battery. When the battery is fully charged it is
automatically switched over to unloading. The unloading phase may in accordance with the
battery size take much more time than the charging phase as unloading current is only
approx. 50mA. When the battery voltage of 13V is reached, it is automatically switched over
to charging phase. These procedures are repeated cyclically. Because of the steady change
between charging and unloading the lifetime of the battery is enlarged.
