- BOOST reactivation: This mode can be used to reactivate a battery that is left unused for a long time.
A maximum of four 30-minute cycles are performed. After each cycle, the tester checks the battery, and switches to charging mode
at the earliest possibility. If after 4 cycles, the battery is unable to be charged, the error indicator will light and the battery
is unserviceable.
To switch into BOOST mode, press and hold the selection button for 5 seconds.
On the BC124A, during the BOOST mode, the 2 orange mode LEDs are lit.
On the BC128A and BC2420A, during the BOOST mode, only the two orange mode LEDs on the left are lit.
MALFUNCTIONS
The warning LED fl ashes:
- The terminals are not connected to the battery.
- The mains cable is not connected or powered.
- Power supply: overvoltage the battery voltage falls too quickly,
meaning that the charger is not suffi ciently powerful for the battery.
- The battery is permanently unserviceable.
The warning LED remains continuously lit:
Before charging.
- Overvoltage due to 12 V charger on 24 V battery.
- Wrongly connected terminals (positive on negative and vice versa).
During charging.
- The battery cannot be charged within the safety limit. A second charging cycle can be performed, however, or use BOOST mode can be used.
If nothing occurs after connecting the charger to the battery: the polarities are reversed or the battery is permanently unserviceable.
Guarantee
Your FACOM battery charger is guaranteed for two years from the date of purchase.
This guarantee excludes the cables and incorrect use.
Your FACOM battery charger must only be repaired only by the FACOM after sales service.
Dismantling the charger will render the guarantee null and void.
