IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances especially when children are present, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or
injury to persons, including the following:
1.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2.
To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug or motor housing in
water or liquid.
3.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
4.
Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts and before
cleaning.
5.
Avoid contact with moving parts.
6.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to an
authorized service center for examination, electrical/mechanical repair or
adjustment.
7.
The use of accessory attachments, including canning jars, not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
8.
Do not use outdoors.
9.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
11. When mixing liquids, especially hot liquids, use a tall container or use a small
quantities at a time to avoid splattering or burning.
12. Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending to prevent the possibility of
severe personal injury and/or damage to the unit. A spatula may be used but only
when the unit is not running.
13. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
14. To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutter assembly blades on base without
container attached.
15. Always operate blender with cover (lid) in place.
16. When blending hot liquids, remove center piece of two-piece cover.
17. FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
18. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
