Processing in drums at 35 °C/95 °F
step
0 Pre-warm the drum
from the outside
1 colour developer*
(2) stop bath
3 Bleach-fix
4 washing
* do not pre-wash, as residual water causes slower colour development with
low retention.
Processing in tank processors at 35/30 °C - 95/86 °F
step
1 colour developer*
(2) stop bath
3 Bleachfix
4 washing
* 15 seconds prior to the end of the colour development period, remove the
paper, drain off excess, and then immerse immediately in the next bath and
agitate vigorously for the first few seconds.
PROCESSING
stop bath (tetenAl Indecit/2-3% acetic acid) helps conserve bleach-fix
■
and increases its processing capacity.
to ensure consistent results it is important that colour development is al-
■
ways done at the same temperature and for the same length of time. howe-
ver, fluctuations in the temperature of the bleach-fix between +/- 3 and or
time variations will not significantly affect the results.
In each case the solution times stated refer to the period starting from the
■
point at which the paper is brought into contact with the solution in question
until initial contact with the next solution.
