BEFORE EACH USE
Inspect your respirator before and after wearing. Don't wear, and
return to your supervisor if:
•
Head straps are torn, cut, or have lost elasticity.
•
Buckles or head cradle are missing, damaged or broken.
•
Facepiece is cracked, torn, distorted, dirty, or has holes.
•
Inhale/exhale valves are missing, torn, damaged, or not properly
seated.
•
Make sure the type of filter selected is appropriate for the
specific use of the half mask.
•
Filters are cracked, damaged, or not properly seated.
•
Any other plastic part is cracked, distorted, or damaged.
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
Loosen the elastic straps pulling the buckles on the head harness.
•
Place the respirator under the chin and pull the cradle to the top
of the head so it rests on the crown.(Fig. 1)
•
Tighten the top straps first so facepiece should not be loose or
slide up or down nose.
•
Attach the bottom straps directly against the back of the neck.
(Fig. 2)
•
Tighten the lower neck straps.(Fig. 3)
USER SEAL CHECK
Perform both negative and positive seal check each time before
you enter a contaminated area.
Negative pressure seal check Cover the filters and gently inhale
and hold your breath. The facepiece should slightly collapse. If air
leakage is detected, re-adjust the position of the facepiece and
the tension of both head straps and repeat the seal check until
leakage is eliminated.(Fig. 4)
Positive pressure seal check Cover the exhale valve vent and
exhale gently to create a slight positive pressure. If air leakage is
detected, re-adjust the position of the facepiece and the tension
of both head straps and repeat the seal check until leakage is
eliminated.(Fig. 5)
WARNING If you cannot obtain a proper fit, do not enter the
contaminated area and see your supervisor.
Seal check your respirator each time before you enter and
periodically while wearing the respirator in the contaminated area.
MAINTENANCE
The effective life of the respirator will be influenced by the use
conditions and contaminants to which it is exposed. It is highly
recommended to follow next steps after every use:
1. Check if the material shows any signs of cracking, wrinkling, or
aging. If so, then discard the facepiece immediately.
2. Store the respirator, cleaned, in a sealed bag.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
Cleaning is recommended after each day's use or more frequently
if necessary:
1. Remove the filters before proceeding with the cleaning.
2. Gently scrub the facepiece with a soft brush in a mild
germicidal detergent, rinse with clean water and air dry. Don't use
solvents to wipe or clean the facepiece as these will reduce the
life of the respirator and pose a health hazard to the user.
3. Dry the half mask thoroughly.
REPLACEMENT PARTS
In case of cracking, wrinkling or aging, spare parts can be
replaced without using any tools: inhale/exhale valves and head
harness assembly.
STORAGE
When not in use or during storage, do not expose respirator to
excessive heat (above 50ºC) or hazardous substances.
LIMITATIONS
Respirators may reduce but do not eliminate wearer exposure
to airborne hazards or the risk of contracting any disease or
infection. Only use this respirator as part of a comprehensive
respiratory protection program. You will receive no respiratory
protection if this respirator is not properly fitted and worn. It is
imperative that you determine the size and potential hazards that
may be present in the environment before selecting appropriate
respiratory protection.
