Thank you for buying the EAC12! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service.
If the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.
Enclosed with the air conditioner should come a remote control, an air exhaust pipe with an adapter to connect the pipe
to the air outlet of the device and a round plastic connector to finish off a possible hole in your wall to put the pipe into.
2. Safety Instructions
• Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will
not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
• All user modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by such modifications is not
covered by the warranty.
• This device falls under protection class I. It is therefore essential that the device be earthed.
• Make sure that the available voltage does not exceed the voltage stated in the specifications of this manual.
• Do not crimp the power cord and protect it against damage. Have an authorised dealer replace it if necessary.
• Disconnect the device from the mains to clean it or when it is not in use. Handle the power cord by the plug only.
• Keep the device away from children and unauthorised users.
• Do not shake the device. Avoid brute force when installing or operating the device.
• Select a location where the device is protected against dust and direct sunlight.
• Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it. Do not allow operation by unqualified
people. Any damage that may occur will most probably be due to unprofessional use of the device.
• Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
• Do not use the device near gas devices, open fires or in the vicinity of highly flammable substances.
• Never incline the unit more than 5°.
• Always keep the unit at least 1 meter away from TV sets or radios to avoid electromagnetic interference.
• Always leave sufficient space behind the unit for the air outlet to function efficiently.
• Do not spray insecticide or other chemicals on the device to avoid deformation, discoloration and malfunctioning.
• If the device is not going to be used for a long time, make sure to remove any condensed water.
• If the device is going to be used continuously for a long time, connect a drainage pipe so condensed water can be
drained off immediately. Lead the drainage pipe to where the water can easily flow away.
• Make sure the wiring of the mains socket(s) the device will be connected to, is at least 2.5mm².
