provided in your kit. (See figure 4)
7. Hook the round female 5-pin Packard connector on the
VIC to the round male 5-pin connector on the ECU.
(See figure 3)
8. Mounting your VIC unit:
8a. Your VIC unit is water-resistant ONLY, not
waterproof. It should be mounted in a dry location.
8b. During high output operating conditions, your VIC
unit may reach case temperatures as high as 200+
degrees Fahrenheit. The suitable mounting location must
be capable of handling this level of heat. If mounting in
the engine compartment, mount in a well ventilated
location away from exhaust plumbing.
9. Reconnect positive battery cable to positive car battery
terminal.
10. Congratulations, you have finished the installation of
your VIC unit.
VIC UNIT OPERATION
Each of the eight knobs on your VIC unit can extend the
fuel delivery time to the cylinder number indicated on the
label up to 25%.
For example, if you wanted to extend the fuel delivery time
to cylinder 1 by 10%, you would loosen the hex head stop
(located directly above the dial) and turn knob #1
counter-clockwise to point to the #10 position. Then you
would re-snug the hex head stop. (See figure 5)
