OPeN Flow control Valve (13) and monitor
vacuum gauge (4).
3.
Allow system to reach a vacuum level (15) of
approximately 23 inches of Mercury.
For steps 4-9, see Fig. 3.
4.
When system reaches required vacuum level,
CLOSE flow control valve (13).
5.
Disconnect shop air supply (12) and Vacuum
Pump Assembly (2) (See Fig. 3,A).
6.
Monitor needle pointer on gauge (4). If no change
is noted in a period of 30 seconds, the system is
ready to be refilled.
7.
connect coolant Hose Assembly (3) to Fitting (9)
on cooling System Adapter (1) (See Fig. 3,b).
8.
Submerse free end of the coolant Hose Assembly
(3) into coolant supply (16).
9.
OPeN Flow control Valve (13) on cooling System
Adapter (1). Cooling system will begin to fill (See
Fig. 3,c).
10. When vacuum gauge reading reaches (0) zero,
cooling system is full.
11. remove cooling System Adapter (1) from vehicle.
12. Start engine and allow it to reach operating tem-
perature.
13. Once engine has reached operating temperature,
top-off coolant level in radiator and/or expansion
tank as required and reinstall radiator/expansion
tank cap.
