EXTENDABLE LENS HOOD

The built in lens hood (5) should always be pulled out
during viewing. If provides effective protection against
side light (stray light), mechanical damage and soiling of
the front lens by rainwater, fingerprints etc.

TRIPOD MOUNTING

Due the high magnifications achieved with any eye piece,
the use of a sturdy tripod is often indispensable. For this
reason, the Leica Apo-Televid models are equipped with
an especially large support with a 1/4" tripod thread
(5c).
To increase the possible applications of the models
with angled view, the tripod support can be rotated by
360°, engages at 45° intervals, and can be locked in
any desired position using the clamping screw (5b). The
tripod support is designed to fit directly on Manfrotto
video heads, avoiding the necessity of further adapter
plates.
