- PROPORTIONAL HEAD DP-V SETTING (FIG. 2)
The circulating pump head will be automatically reduced with the de-
crease in flow rate required by the system. This setting is optimum
for systems with radiators (2 pipes or single pipe) and/or thermostatic
valves. The strong points are the reduction in power consumption with
the decrease in system demand and reduction of noise in radiators and/
or thermostatic valves. The operating range is from min. (2) to max. (8).
- PROPORTIONAL HEAD DP-C SETTING (FIG. 3)
The circulating pump head will remain constant with the decrease in flow
rate required by the system. This setting is optimum for all floor systems
or old systems with large pipes. In addition to reduced power consump-
tion, in floor systems all the circuits will be balanced for the same head
loss. The operating range is from min. (1) to max. (8).
- FIXED MINIMUM SPEED SETTING (FIG. 4)
The circulating pump does not modulate its power, and will always run at
minimum speed. The operating principle is that of conventional circulat-
ing pumps (with a reduction in power consumption compared to them).

For installation, electrical connection, operation and diagnostics, refer to
the controller manual.
NOTE: Make sure pump cable P1 is connected to a 230VAC-50Hz
permanent power supply
and that pump cable 256 is not longer than 15m and is connected
as follows:
Brown ...........Input ground 0-10Vdc (Gnd)
White ............Input voltage signal 0-10Vdc
Blue ..............Alarm signalling voltage-free contact
Brown ...........Alarm signalling voltage-free contact
Protection with fuse: 10/16 A, delayed or automatic fuses with charac-
teristic C.
0-10Vdc signal characteristic:
Voltage lower than 0.5Vdc ...............................Circulating pump running at min. speed
Voltage between 0.5Vdc and 1Vdc ..................Circulating pump not running (Stand-By)
Voltage between 1Vdc and 3Vdc .....................Circulating pump running at min. speed
Voltage between 3Vdc and 10Vdc ................... Circulating pump running between min.
Voltage 10Vdc ..................................................Circulating pump running at max. speed
Voltage-free contact characteristic
Circulating pump running ............................... Contact open
Circulating pump not running (Stand-By) ....... Contact closed
Circulating pump not at 230VAC .................... Contact closed

Install the circulation unit on a solid wall not subject to vibration.
Make sure the place of installation and the systems to which the
equipment must be connected comply with the current regulations.
1
Handle the unit with suitable protection and due caution. Do not
damage existing piping when drilling the wall. Empty the parts that may contain
4
hot water, by activating any vents, prior to handling. reinstate all the safety and
control functions involved in work on the unit and check their operation before
recommissioning.
8
The circulation unit is powered. Disconnect the power before any
maintenance on the pump. Do not damage existing electrical cables
when drilling the wall. Make the electrical connections with wires of
suitable section. Protect the connection cables to prevent them from
being damaged. Use suitable electrical equipment (in particular, make sure the
power cable is intact and that the parts with rotary or reciprocating motion are
properly secured), use it correctly, do not obstruct the passages with the power
cable, and prevent possible falling from above.

Drill holes in the places shown in the figure and fix the Gruppo solare IDRO 70 to
the wall using suitable plugs and screws.
Connect the delivery and return pipes to the circulation unit. Prepare and
connect a suitable expansion tank according to the system design and a
discharge for the safety valve in case any heat transfer fluid comes out.
After the washing, filling, electrical connection and system checking operations,
close the circulation unit with the front casing.
