Recharging the Self Charge Auto Jumper:
1. To recharge the Self Charge Auto Jumper through the vehicle, push the
"On/Off" button to the "On" position, and simply leave the Self Charge Auto
Jumper plugged into the cigarette lighter socket for 30 to 60 minutes while
the engine is running. This will provide enough charge for future use.
2. Do not leave the Self Charge Auto Jumper plugged into the vehicle cigarette
lighter socket when the vehicle is not running. This will not cause any
damage to your vehicle battery, but may discharge the Self Charge Auto
Jumper.
Using the Self Charge Auto Jumper as a 12 Volt DC Power Source
The Self Charge Auto Jumper comes equipped with a 12 Volt DC power socket
designed to recharge DC accessories such as 12 Volt radios, cellular phones, and
more. A DC-to-DC adapter set is required to run these accessory items and it is
available on our Part and Accessories site at www.wagan-parts.webs.com.
Before connecting any 12 Volt DC accessory to the Self Charge Auto Jumper, check
the polarity of the accessory (see accessory owners manual). The socket of the Self
Charge Auto Jumper has a positive (+) center pin. Most, but not all, 12 Volt DC
accessories come with this configuration. For DC accessories that do not have a
positive (+) center pin, do not operate at 12 volts, or have a different connector, you
must use a DC-to-DC adopter (sold separately).
