Special safety directions
The toaster may be used by children over
8 years old and people with reduced
sensitivity, or a physical or mental disability,
as long as they are supervised or have
been instructed in use of the appliance in
a safe manner and have thus understood
the associated risks. Children must not be
allowed to play with the toaster. Cleaning
and maintenance must not be carried out by
children unless they are supervised.
When the toaster is in use, it should be
monitored continuously. When the toaster is
in use, any children near it must not be left
unattended. The toaster is not a toy.
The toaster can become very hot during use.
Only touch the plastic parts of the toaster,
and leave it to cool down completely before
putting it away.
The toaster must be placed on a level, heat-
resistant surface. Please note that the feet on
the toaster may leave a mark on the surface.
The toaster must not be placed under or near
to curtains or other in� ammable objects.
Do not place objects on the toaster and do
not cover it when in use, as this may cause a
� re.
When the toaster is in use, there must be at
least 10 cm clearance on all sides so that the
air can circulate freely.
The toaster must not be placed on, over or in
the vicinity of a gas burner or other cooking
plates.
Do not allow the cord to hang over the table
edge, etc. and do not allow it to come into
contact with hot objects.
The cord, plug and toaster must not be
exposed to water, liquids or splashes, as this
may lead to a risk of electric shock.
The toaster is only intended for toasting
bread, unbuttered and without any � lling or
topping.
Do not toast bread that is too thick for the
opening.
Keep an eye on your toast. Very dry bread
can catch � re during the toasting process.
If a piece of bread gets stuck during toasting,
remove the plug from the mains socket and
allow the toaster to cool off before trying to
remove it.
Turn the toaster upside down and try to
shake the bread out. If this is unsuccessful,
try to work the bread free. Avoid poking
metal utensils into the toaster's openings to
get the bread free, as this may damage the
heating element or cause electric shock.
Empty the crumb tray regularly.
The toaster is only intended for use in private
households.
For indoor use only.
Allow the toaster to heat up without
inserting any bread before using it for the
� rst time.
As the housing and the metal parts become
hot during operation, please allow the device
to cool down before putting it away.
The metal parts get hot. Danger of burns!
Use
Plug in.
Set the browning setting using the dial (3).
The higher the number, the darker the toast
will be.
Place one slice of bread in each opening (1),
and push the lever (2) down until it locks into
place.
The toaster will start automatically.
When toasting is � nished, the lever is
released and the toast pops up.
The toaster switches off automatically.
If you want to stop toasting early, press the
stop button (4).
