Intended use
The brace is intended for mild to moderate knee
hyperextension. The brace can also be used together with
Allard AFOs when knee hyperextension is present together
with foot drop. Intended for one person use.
Indications
Knee hyperextension due to Stroke, Post-Polio or
other neuromuscular diseases or injuries like weakening
M.Quadriceps or weak calf musscles. Genu recurvatum with
intact ML ligaments.
Contraindications
The brace is not intended for sport activity. The brace should
not be used when all function in M. Quadriceps is lost or
when knee ligaments are disabled. Hyperextension ≥15
degrees..
Adjustments
This product should only be altered by a medical professional.
Warnings
Do not use when product is wet or on wet skin. Do not pull
the straps too tight as this can cause poor circulation and/or
skin irritation. Check the skin on a daily basis and if you see
or feel any irritations or other problems, remove the product
1. Check that the support is complete and without damage.
2. Use the attached graphic instruction sheet to instruct
the user to put on and remove. Make sure the user
understands the instructions and can self-apply and
remove.
3. The joints can be set in various degrees of range-of-
motion. Various stops are included in the package.
Make sure that both joints have equal setting.
4. Instruct the user how to remove and replace the joints.
Each upright is labeled with up/out. Show to the user
to ensure that the uprights will be positioned correctly
after laundering.
5. Give both this instruction and the pictogram to the
user/caregiver after fitting.

Material Specifications
This product is made from Nylon, Lycra, Polyester, Aluminium
and Polyurethane. Does not contain Latex. This product is not
flame retardant.
Washing Instruction
Remove stays before wash. Close all Velcro straps prior to
laundering. Use a washing bag. Machine wash in 40ºC (104
gentle cycle. Dry flat. Do not tumble dry or dry clean.
