• Know your floodlight. Read the operator's manual carefully. Learn the applications
and limitations, as well as the specific potential hazards related to this tool. Following
this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire or serious injury.
• Do not use outdoors. This floodlight is intended for household use only. Using it
outdoors may increase the risk of electric shock or fire.
• Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
• Do not work with the cordless floodlight in hazardous areas.
• Do not direct the light beam at persons or animals and do not stare into the light
beam yourself (not even from a distance). Avoid direct eye exposure. The floodlight can
cause flash blindness.
• Do not use the floodlight in road traffic. The cordless floodlight is not approved for
illumination in road traffic.
• Disconnect the battery pack from the floodlight before making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing power tools, etc.
• Do not permit children to use the floodlight; it is not a toy. Children can unintentionally
blind themselves or other persons.
• The lens gets very hot during use. To reduce the risk of burns, do not touch hot lens.
To reduce the risk of fire, keep away from combustible materials while in operation.
• Recharge batteries only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger
that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another
battery pack.
• Use only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may
create a risk of injury and fire.
• When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like paper
clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects, that can make a
connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may
cause burns or a fire.
• The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such as nails or screwdrivers or
by force applied externally. An internal short circuit can occur and the battery can burn,
smoke, explode or overheat.
• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If
contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek
medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
• The floodlight is ruggedly constructed. It should, however, be handled with care.
• Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons
unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
• Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
