Important Product and Safety Information
Follow Instructions for Use. This document provides important product
operation and safety information regarding this Pulse oximeter. Please
read this document thoroughly before using the device and keep for
future reference.
This non-invasive, fingertip, pulse oximeter utilizes red and infrared light with
algorithm and circuitry to provide a spot check measurement of the user's pulse and
oxygen saturation. It is intended for personal use in a non-professional setting by
adults; for sports, training, and recreational type activities where such information IS
NOT used for the monitoring/diagnosis/treatment of a medical condition.
This pulse oximeter IS intended to be used:
• For Sports, training, and recreational type activities where spot checked pulse
and/or oxygen saturation information is desired.
This pulse oximeter IS NOT intended for use:
• As a medical device and/or a product supplying a user's physiological measure-
ments related to the monitoring, diagnosis and/or treatment of a medical condition
• For continued monitoring
• With children 12 years old and under.
WARNING – Potentially hazardous situation that if not avoided may
result in serious injury or death.
• This is not a medical device. It is not intended for the use in monitoring, diagnosing,
or treating a medical condition (such as aiding in determining if a drug like oxygen
should be administered). Likewise, this device is not for use:
• In an electrosurgical unit (SU).
• In an MRT or CT environment.
• In an explosive or inflammable atmosphere.
• In situations where alarms are required as this device has no alarms.
• As a continuous monitor.
• As part of a system for assessing clinical signs and symptoms.
• With sterilizing methods; the device is not intended for sterilization.
• During patient transport outside a healthcare facility.
• Ensure that children are supervised around this device; some parts are small
enough to be swallowed and may become a choking hazard, and any attached
lanyard may be of length to cause strangulation.
• Keep batteries away from children; harmful if swallowed.
