6.5.2
Room temperature measurement
The remote control measures the temperature of the room and
sends this to the I.T.C. to calculate the ECO+ boost and
thermostat functions. The remote control should be placed in the
wall-bracket when using these functions.
6.5.3
Communication
The remote control is used to:
-
read the I.T.C for service purposes.
-
adjust the system settings (if necessary).
6.5.4
LED signals
Under normal operation the LED, on top of the handset, will flash
green every time you press a button. In case of notification or
required maintenance the LED will flash orange several times. In
case of a system error the LED will flash red.
The content of the report can be seen in the App.
The full LED signal code table can be found in the back of this user
manual.
7 Operation of the fire
The device will run through a start program which lasts approxima-
tely 30 seconds. During this time communication is blocked and
interface commands will be ignored. If the fireplace will not ignite,
you can do a second attempt after approximately 1 minute. If this
attempt fails, you will need minimum 5 minutes to wait before to try
again. In case of problems contact your dealer or installer.
7.1
witching on
When switched on, the fire will start on wide and full setting and if
present, the light effect will slowly begin.
7.2
Control of the flames
The flame height can be adjusted by the user. With the step
function the fire can also be set to a broad or narrow flame.
Smartphone/Tablet
Follow the instructions of the App.
Remote control
The flame can be adjusted using keys 3 and 4. To switch between
wide and narrow use key 5.
7.3

Switching off

After the fire is switched off, the appliance follows a cooling-down
sequence lasting approximately 60 seconds. Until this process is
complete the fire cannot be restarted as during this time communi-
cation is blocked and interface commands will be ignored.
Smartphone/Tablet
Follow the symbols and the instructions of the App.
Your screen will indicate when the system can be used again.
Remote control
The device can be switched off using key 1. A short, audible noise
indicates that the system has been released. If present, the light
effect will go out automatically.
7.4
Operation of light effect
The light effect will automatically turn on/off, if there are flames or
not. You can turn on/off the light effect, (even the fire is not on or on
pilot flame). Press and hold key 6 on the remote for several
seconds. For app users, press and hold the circle on your screen.
The edge of the circle will turn from small to wide. The light effect
will automatically turn on/off if the fire:
-
turns on/off.
-
is set to pilot light.
-
is set higher than pilot light.
7.5
ECO function (remote control in wall-bracket)
This function allows for automatic slow modulating and varying
flames. There is a choice between 5 different patterns.
Position 1: (30% less gas than maximum setting) gives the most
vigorous flames and has the highest heat output of the
5 programs.
Position 5: (70% less gas) is the most economical but has the
least vigorous flames.
With an increasing room temperature the I.T.C.
automatically moves to a higher ECO position.
Only in activated ECO+ position:
With an increasing room temperature the I.T.C. sets automatically
to a higher ECO position. So, in a cool room you can choose ECO
mode 1 (30% less gas) and with an increase of the room tempera-
ture the I.T.C. automatically sets to a higher ECO position.
Switching between ECO and ECO+ position can be found in the
app under settings in the third screen. By default, the App is
adjusted to ECO.
Smartphone/tablet
Follow the symbols and the instructions on the App.
Select one of the five available patterns.
Remote control
Use the key combination 1+6.
Please note: the device returns to the last ECO pattern set by the
App. You cannot adjust this choice using the remote control.
