NOTE: Use only fasteners rated Grade 5 or higher as engine support bolts. 4. Tighten the barrel hex nuts (#7) on both J-hooks until cables are snug or hex nuts are tight against support bar. Double check that engine is properly supported before disassembly of vehicle. PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE This is the safety alert symbol used for the PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE section of this manual to alert you to potential personal injury hazards. Obey all instructions to avoid possible injury or death. 1. KTI62114 8/12/14... - Página 8 PRECAUCIÓN: Si los rebordes interiores del parachoques estén separados más de 61", no deberá usarse la barra de soporte para motor. No lo extienda más allá de la marca designada (61"), dado que la sobre extensión de esa unidad podrá poner en peligro la capacidad de 700 libras. Lo mismo podrá ocasionar el colapso de la barra de soporte para motor, ocasionando lesiones corporales o daños a la propiedad. 2. Asegúrese que la barra de transferencia esté en la posición correcta (si es que se está empleando). La punta de hule del tubo ajustable (#6) deberá estar recostado sobre una superficie plana reforzada capaz de soportar el peso del motor. Apriete ambas tuercas mariposa (#4 & #8) para sujetar el tubo ajustable (#6) y la barra de transferencia (#10). 3. Los ganchos en J (#3) podrán bajarse a la posición adecuada. Asegúrese que los ganchos en J estén directamente sobre los pernos de soporte del motor o abrazaderas con el fin de que el motor no gire cuando el vehículo esté desensamblado. Sujete los extremos en círculo de los dos cables trenzados de acero 1/8" (#12) a los pernos de soporte del motor en el motor y dé vuelta en círculo de la parte central de los cables trenzados sobre los ganchos en J. Si el motor el que se está soportando viene equipado con abrazaderas de levantamiento del motor, enganche los ganchos en J directamente en las abrazaderas de levantamiento del motor para una mayor protección. NOTA: Use sólo sujetadores de una clasificación 5 ó mayor para los pernos de soporte del motor. 4. Apriete las tuerca hexagonales de cañón (#7) en ambos ganchos en J hasta que los cables estén bien ajustados o las tuercas hex agonales estén apretados contra la barra de soporte. 6. La Barre de support du moteur est prête à placer sur le compartiment du moteur du véhicule. DIRECTIVES D'UTIlISATION Voici le symbole utilisé dans la section DIRECTIVES D’UTILISATION du présent manuel pour avertir du risque de blessure. Suivre toutes les directives pour éviter des blessures pouvant être graves ou mortelles. 1. Déterminez l'emplacement des deux boulons de support du moteur auxquels la Barre de support du moteur sera fixée. Puis, placez la Barre de support du moteur directement sur ces deux boulons de support du moteur, en vous assurant que les pieds avec les manchons protecteurs (no 13) sont appuyés dans les lèvres intérieures du garde du compartiment du moteur et complètement étendus, jusqu'à ce que les pieds touchent l'intérieur des gardes. ATTENTION : Si les lèvres intérieures du garde sont séparées de plus de 154 cm (61 po), la Barre de support du moteur ne doit pas être utilisée. Ne pas dépasser au-delà de la marque désignée de 154 cm (61 po), car cette unité peut compromettre la capacité de 317 kg (700 lb) si elle est trop étendue. Ceci pourrait faire la Barre de support du moteur s'effondrer, provoquant des blessures corporelles ou des dommages matériels. 2. Assurez-vous que la barre de transfert est en position adéquate (si elle est utilisée). L'embout en caoutchouc du tuyau ajustable (no 6) devrait être sur une surface plane renforcée, pouvant supporter le poids du moteur. Serrer les deux écrous papillon (no 4 et no 8) pour fixer le tuyau ajustable (no 6) et la barre de transfert (no 10). 3. Les crochets J (no 3) peuvent être abaissés à la position adéquate. Assurez-vous que les crochets J soient directement sur les boulons ou brides de support du moteur, pour que le moteur ne balance pas lorsque le véhicule est désassemblé. Fixez les extrémités en boucle des deux câbles d'acier tressés de 1/8 po aux boulons de support du moteur sur le moteur et centre de la boucle des câbles tressés sur les crochets J. Si le moteur étant supporté est pourvu de brides d'élevage du moteur, passez les crochets J directement dans les brides d'élevage du moteur pour une protection supplémentaire. REMARQUE : Utilisez seulement les fixations classées de Grade 5 ou supérieures, comme boulons de support du moteur. 4. Serrez les écrous à portée cylindrique (no 7) sur les deux crochets J, jusqu'à ce que les câbles soient serrés ou que les boulons hexagonaux soient serrés contre la barre de support.
