• Discharge valve gasket (1)
• Head gasket (1)
• Intake valve (1)
• Valve plate (1)
Disassembly
(REFER TO FIGURE 1)
TOOLS REQUIRED:
• Torque wrench (to measure 100 in-lbs)
• T-25 Slotted Torxbit and screwdriver
• Phillips screwdriver
• 5/8" open end wrench
• 7/16" socket end ratchet
• Razor blade or putty knife
® 2002 Campbell Hausfeld/Scott Fetzer
1. Remove shroud by taking out two Torx
screws and one Phillips screw.
2. Use 5/8" wrench to disconnect exhaust
tube from compressor.

ratchet. Lift head off unit and check for
sticking gasket pieces. Carefully scrape
pieces off making sure not to scratch deep
Phillips
grooves into head.
Screw
4. Discard used gaskets, valves and valve
plate. Use new parts supplied in kit.
Assembly
(REFER TO FIGURE 2)
1. Facing the cooling fan, place cylinder gasket
with cut out to rear. Align the four large
holes with head bolt holes.
2. Place intake valve over cylinder gasket.
MANUAL
Align the four large holes with head bolt
holes. Position free end of reed to the rear,
touching top of cylinder without hanging
down into cylinder.
3. Place valve plate over intake valve. Align
holes with different diameters with intake
valve. The bottom side of these holes will
be blocked by intake valve.
4. Place discharge valve over valve plate and
make sure reeds cover the two holes in
front. Ensure two intake ports on valve
plate are visible after valve is installed.
5. Place black, rubber-coated head gasket on
top of discharge valve with raised stops and
rib facing upward. The raised stops should
be over the top of the two exhaust reeds.
6. Place paper discharge valve gasket over
metal head gasket with large oval hole over
intake ports. The two intake ports on valve
plate should be visible after gasket is
installed.
7. Place head on top of discharge valve gasket
with exhaust fitting to front and intake
filter to rear.
8. Replace head bolts. Following a criss-cross
pattern, torque all four head bolts to 100 in-
lbs.
9. Secure shroud with shroud screws and
reconnect exhaust tube.
