REPLACEMENT KIT CLAMP BRACKET
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Electrical Shock Hazard. Shock can burn or
kill. Unplug the primary sump pump and any accessories
before you continue. Failure to follow this warning can
result in personal injury or death. Do not lift the pump
by the electrical cord.
NOTICE: Install this clamp during a time when the pri-
mary pump will not be needed. Read all warnings and
installation steps before you start.
1. Remove the U-bolts, nuts and clamps from the parts
bag.
2. With the back-up pump in position assemble the
clamps and attach the back-up pump to the discharge
pipe as shown below.

NOTICE: You may need someone to hold the pump
while clamping it in place. The clamps will fit around
a 1" to 1-1/2" discharge pipe.
3. Before tightening the nuts, check and be sure the
pump bottom is a minimum of 1" above the "ON"
water level of the primary sump pump. Make sure the
pumps and switches do not interfere with each other.
4. Run the system through one complete cycle to be
sure the installation is correct. For complete installa-
tion instructions refer to the Battery Backup System
Owner's Manual, SIM558.
