Instructions for use
The logic pulser has a tristate output, which means that it pulses both
high and low but presents a high impedance when not operating,
enabling the pulser to be left connected without interfering with the logic
under test.
The pulser operates from 5 - 18V
CMOS and other logic systems which utilise similar supply voltages.
The pulser leads must however be connected to the supply of the logic
under test. The supply leads are reverse polarity protected and the
output is protected against overvoltage.
The pulses produced are capable of sinking or sourcing up to
approximately 0.5 amp, which ensures sufficient current to overide an
i.c. output in either a high or low state, but the pulse width generated is
very narrow in order to prevent damage to the i.c.
A three position slide switch is used to select the output pulse options
of single, four and continuous. A push button being used to initiate the
pulses. (The repetition frequency of the pulses is approximately 1kHz).
To use the Logic Pulser, the tip should be placed on a logic node or
gate input, the output option selected and the button pushed. The
pulser then automatically drives the circuits connected to it to their
opposite logic state, enabling suspect gates, lines, busses and nodes
to be checked easily and of course without unsoldering or track cutting.
The results of Logic Pulser tests may be detected using an RS Logic
Probe or an Oscilloscope.

Gebrauchsanweisung
Ein Logikimpulsgeber mit Tri-State-Leistung; das bedeutet daß er
sowohl eine hohe wie auch niedrige Pulsfrequenz besitzt und dennoch
hochohmig ist wenn er nicht im Einsatz ist. Der Impulsgeber kann
daher angeschlossen bleiben ohne die zu testende Logik zu stören.
Der Logikimpulsgeber arbeitet zwischen 5 und 18 Volt Gleichstrom und
ist so für TTL, CMOS und andere Logiksysteme, die ähnliche
Netzspannung verwenden, geeignet. Die Impulskabel müssen
allerdings an das Netzteil der zu testenden Logik angeschlossen
werden. Die Netzkabel haben einen Umpolschutz und die
Ausgangsleistung ist vor Überspannung geschützt.
