1. Introduction & Features
Thank you for buying the LL40T! The laser beam of the laser level can be emitted horizontally and vertically. The
spectroscope and the level, and thus the beam, can be rotated 360°. Please read the manual thoroughly before
bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.

2. Preparation before Measuring
1. Open the tripod and place it on a secure and stable surface. Use the vial on the tripod and adjust the legs to
ensure that the tripod is level. Fasten the tabs on the legs tightly.
2. Attach the base to the tripod.
3. Put the laser leveller on the centre of the base and secure it with the fastening screw (#6). Use the adjustable
screws (#7) to centre the air bubble in the horizontal vial (#2). Rotate the leveller over the 360° to check level
accuracy. Further adjusting of the adjustment screws (#7) may be necessary. Adjust until the horizontal vial reads
correctly in all positions.
4. Always turn the laser off before inserting or removing lens accessories.
3. Battery Replacement
• Unscrew the battery compartment lid with an appropriate screwdriver.
• Replace the batteries, respecting the polarity (cf. the diagram on the side of the laser level).
• Put the lid back in its place and fasten the screw.
4. Maintenance and General Safety Rules
Do not stare into the laser beam ; the high energy is extremely harmful to the eyes.
• Only use the device for its intended purpose.
• Treat the LL40T gently and avoid shocks and bumps.
• When the beam becomes weak, replace the batteries.
• Remove the batteries if the LL40T will not be used for a long time to avoid leakage.
• If one of the vials should break and the liquid comes into contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water.
• Keep the device away from moisture or rain. Keep it out of reach of children.
• When the LL40T is not being used, keep it in a dry and secure place.
• Check for wear or damage before use. If the device is damaged, take it to a qualified technician for repair.
• Do not use any accessories other than those included with the device.
• There are no user-serviceable parts.
• Contact your dealer for spare parts if necessary.
