The special decoder 1039/80 can be used in IPerVoice system to activate electrical loads by means of
double exchange relay whose operation can be:
• Bistable.
• Toggle timed.
Possible applications include: Switching staircase light on, operating supplementary lock, opening gates,
etc. The load can be controlled directly, since this is a power relay (see technical specifi cations).
According to its confi guration and setting, the Special Decoder activates the relay depending on system
events (see system manual).
Each external button may activate one or more relays according to how the IPerVoice frontend is
programmed.
An alarm control can be associated to each external button.
Each external button may activate only one default relay if no changes are made to the IPerVoice frontend.

The device is powered by POE, but it's possible to add an external power supply fro emergency situation in
order to ensure the device operation also if the system doesn't work (in this case the relay can be activated
only by the external button).
The product is designed to be powered by external power supplies with outputs up to the specifi ed
power source requirements (LPS) and protected against short circuits and overcurrents according to
EN 60950-1:2006+A11+A1+A12+A2 provisions.
