3. Near ground level work
• Loosen the lock on the centre column
• Remove the first half of the centre column by rotating
it anti-clockwise
• Slide the centre column out of its holder
• Turn the column around by 180 degree
• Fasten the centre column at a suitable working height
• Attach the second half by rotating it clockwise
4. Removing the quick-release plate
• Turn the locking pin until you can pull out the plate
• Screw the quick-release plate to your camera using
the ¼ inch thread
• Keep one hand on the camera to keep it steady until
locked into place
5. Twist lock (locking mechanism)
• Only use the rubber foot for twisting
• Rotate the sections clockwise until they open
(half a twist is enough).
• When each section becomes loose, a slight snap
will be heard
• Pull the sections apart - rotating them this way and that
will make it easier to pull apart the legs of the tripod
• Rotate clockwise to attach the rubber foot to the sections
• Before using the tripod, ensure that all the sections have been
attached and locked.
• Note: When using the tripod for the first time, the twist lock may be a little stiff.
This will depend on the temperature.
