Charging Case for
GB
Receivers ATS-162R and
Transmitters ATS-162T
Please read these operating instructions
carefully prior to operation and keep them for
later reference.
1 Applications
The charging case is designed for transport-
ing the transmitters and receivers of the wire-
less ATS-162 system and for recharging their
lithium polymer batteries. It allows you to
recharge the batteries of up to 30 units at the
same time.
The ATS-162C offers a most convenient
feature: While recharging the units, simply
press a button to set all transmitters and
receivers to a transmission channel defined
previously.
2 Safety Notes
The units (charging case and power supply
unit) correspond to all relevant directives of
the EU and are therefore marked with
WARNING The power supply unit uses
dangerous
mains
Leave servicing to skilled per-
sonnel only. Inexpert handling
may result in electric shock.

The units are suitable for indoor use only.
Protect them against dripping water and
splash water, high air humidity and heat
(admissible ambient temperature range:
0 – 40 °C).

Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on
the units, e. g. a drinking glass.
G
Do not operate the charging case or imme-
diately disconnect the power supply unit
from the mains socket
1. if the units are visibly damaged,
2. if a defect might have occurred after a
unit was dropped or suffered a similar
accident,

3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the units must be repaired by
skilled personnel.

Never pull the mains cable to disconnect
the power supply unit from the socket,
always seize the plug.

For cleaning the power supply unit and the
inside of the case, only use a dry, soft cloth;
never use water or chemicals. For cleaning
the outside of the case, you may use a
damp cloth.

No guarantee claims for the units and no
liability for any resulting personal damage
or material damage will be accepted if the
units are used for other purposes than orig-
inally intended, if they are not correctly
operated, or if they are not repaired in an
expert way.
If the units are to be put out of oper-
ation definitively, take them to a local
recycling plant for a disposal which
is not harmful to the environment.

3 Recharging the Batteries
1) Connect the 4-pole plug (4) of the power
voltage.

(7); connect the mains cable to a
socket (230 V~ / 50 Hz). Thus, the power
supply unit is switched on. Its power LED
lights up.
2) Insert the transmitters / receivers vertically
into the charging slots.
3) Switch on the charging case with the
power switch (8). The fan starts running
and the 30 charge LEDs (3) briefly light up.
After that, the charge LEDs only light up
when a unit is inserted in the corre -
sponding slot and its battery is being
recharged. In addition, the indicating LED
on the transmitter/ receiver shows red.
IMPORTANT! Always ensure that the
cover of the case is open while recharging.
Never cover the air vents (9); otherwise

the units inserted and the charging case
may be damaged by heat accumulation.
4) When the battery of a unit has been fully
recharged, the corresponding charge LED
(3) is extinguished. The indicating LED on
the transmitter / receiver shows green to
indicate that the unit can be removed from
the charging slot.
4 Setting the Transmission Channel
1) To set the desired transmission channel
for all transmitters and receivers inserted,
press the button
or
(6). The display
(5) shows the channel.
2) Briefly press the button G (6). During auto-
matic channel setting, the indicating LEDs
of the transmitters / receivers and the chan-
nel number on the display keep flashing.
When they stop flashing, the units have
been set to the same transmission channel.
5 Transport
Attach the power supply unit (2) with the
hook-and-loop fasteners (1). Close the cover
and lock the case, if required. For convenient
transport of the wheeled case, pull out the
transport handle to the desired length. To
unlock it, keep the light grey button pressed.
