SCALES OPERATION
• Rest the scales on a flat and stable
surface.
• Place the bowl (1) (if used) on the scales
before turning on the appliance.
• Press and release the ON/OFF key (e)
to turn on the appliance. When the
appliance is turned on, the display
appears as shown in the picture beside.
After about 3 seconds, the value "0" is
displayed and the scales are ready to weigh.
• Proceed with the weighing operation.
SUGGESTIONS
Any container can be used for weighing operations or it is also possible to rest the weight directly
on the scales plate (4).
In case you are using a container, remember to position it on the scales plate (4) before turning on
the appliance so that the weight reference will be zero when the appliance is turned on.
WEIGHT UNIT CONVERSION
The scales include both metric (kilograms, grams) and Imperial systems (pounds, onces). You
can press the g/oz key (d) to convert between the two systems during the weighing operation.
"TARE" FUNCTION
To weigh different loads consecutively without removing them from thebowl (1) or from the scales
plate (5), put the first load on the plate and read the weight. Press the TARE key (b) to reset the
reading of the display (c) before adding the next load. It is possible to repeat this operation. It is
possible to use the "TARE" function also to reset the weight of a container. In this case, turn the
scales on, put an empty container on the scales plate (5) and press the TARE key (b). The display
is reset and, once the food has been placed on the scales, will show its weight.
"HOLD" FUNCTION
To use this function proceed as follows:
• Press the ON/OFF key (e) to turn on the scales.
• Put the load on the scales.
• Press the HOLD key (b).
• The scales will show the detected weight for 5 seconds. To reset the value, press the HOLD key
(b) again.
WARNING INDICATORS
1) Overload
If the weight of the loads is higher than the maximum capacity of the scales (5 kg), "OL" (overload)
will appear on the display. Remove the
load immediately to allow the scales to work normally.
