SENSOR
The ECOMAT MINI 2N presence detector is capable of detecting the slightest
movement because of its high-frequency technology. Its detection precision does
not depend on the ambient temperature. It immediately detects any movement,
even those of inert elements, such as doors or chairs.
The ECOMAT MINI 2N can detect within a five-metre radius of action, with 360º
coverage.
INSTALLATION
The assembly and installation of electric apparatus must be carried out by
authorised personnel.
The unit is internally protected against interference by a security circuit. However,
certain especially strong magnetic fields can alter its operation.
WARNING: Disconnect the power supply prior to installing the unit.
Installation suggestions
The equipment can penetrate non-metal materials, such as wood, brick and
plaster.
It should not be installed in locations with vibrations.
Switch the power off before changing lamps.
The unit must be installed at more than 6 cm from the ballast.
It must be installed in a dry location and well away from any possible splashing.
It must not be installed in front of metal objects because this could negatively
affect detection distances. The equipment microwaves cannot penetrate metal
objects.
The ECOMAT MINI 2N detects the reflections of the emitted microwaves so that
detection is enhanced in closed volumes, such as corridors, doorways,
bathrooms and offices, but will be reduced in large or open spaces, such as
garages and porches etc.
MOUNTING
Example of an installation on a false ceiling (non-metallic):
CEILING
The sensor must be facing to the zone where we want to detect.

A wrong connection can damage the equipment.
PUTTING INTO SERVICE
There are three potentiometers behind the front cover:
TIME: Allows timing adjustment from five seconds to thirty minutes. Timing
commences after detecting the last movement.
METER: The detecting range is adjustable between 2 and 10 metres
LUX: Adjustable between 5 Lux (night) and 2,000 Lux (day).
Thirty seconds after being switched on, the sensor enters normal operation. Set
the TIME potentiometer to TEST mode.
STAND BY
When the adjusted delay time has passed after detection, the lighting will remain at
20% of its maximum value. Every thirty minutes in Standby the equipment will
verify the lighting level and will maintain the standby mode if it is less than the
selected lux value. If the natural lighting on the premises exceeds the level
programmed by the luminosity level (LUX) the lighting will be switched off and
detection will cease. In Standby, the equipment detects any movement within its
radius of action. The Standby function prevents a lack of light in reduced-lighting
areas, such as lumber rooms, garages and hotel corridors, etc).
FUNCION TEST
This function is used to verify the required detection zone.
The METER adjustment sets the equipment range from a two to ten-metre
diameter.
When movement detection occurs, the equipment red LED and the associated
lighting comes on for two seconds, independently of the LUX setting.
After verifying the detection mode, the TIME potentiometer should be set to the
desired lighting switch-on time after detection, which is between 5 seconds and 30
minutes. The LUX potentiometer is then set to the lighting level above which the
equipment must not switch on the lighting. THE VARIATION OF THE SELECTED
LUX LEVEL WILL ONLY BECOME EFFECTIVE WHEN THE LOAD IS
COMPLETELY SWITCHED OFF. (NOT STAND BY)
In order for the equipment adjustment potentiometers to be taken into effect,
it is necessary to abandon the detection zone and wait for the installation to
switch off.
PERMANENT MODE (ON 4 hours)
In order to switch the equipment permanently on for four hours, independently of
the regulated lighting level, the power supply must be switched Off – On – Off – On
in less than two seconds. Flashing will occur to indicate that the equipment is in
Permanent mode. The LED will flash one second on and five seconds off
throughout this four-hour period.
This mode is abandoned by switching the power supply off for more than two
seconds.
