DESCRIPTION
MICROTAR is a digital time switch for tariff control in line with the
legislation affecting times and complies with all the sections of EN 61038
regarding Time Switches for Tariff and Load Control.
MICROTAR, depending on the model, can be used in the following types
of time discrimination:
•
Type 0: Night tariff
•
Type 2: Twin tariff
It has the possibility of simultaneous double switching, switch circuits and
MDI (Maximun Demand Indicator). It can be used during any of the tariff
bands.
New information about changes in tariffs and dates of their coming into
effect is introduced using an external programmer.
Automatic summer-winter hour clock change.
INSTALLATION
WARNING: Installation and mounting of the electrical devices should be
carried out by a qualified technician.
MOUNTING: On surface using the affixing triangle according with
DIN 43857.

START UP AND PROGRAMMING
Once the MICROTAR is connected the display shows the time, day of the
week, tariff, area, summer-winter time indication and contact status.
The date is shown for the first 8 seconds of each minute.
The area indicator alternates every six seconds with the time discriminator.

PROGRAMMING THE DATE AND TIME
The device leaves the factory with a pre-programmed time and date. If this
needs to be re-programmed then the following steps should be followed.
Programming starts by pressing the button
will be the year. Use the + and – keys to change it. Validate the item by
pressing the key
and then pass on to the month, followed by the day of
the week (indicated by an arrow over the days marked on the casing, with
Monday as 1. Lastly the correct time (hours and minutes) is introduced.
The two dots that separate the hour and minutes will begin to flash on and
off when programming is completed.

. The first item to introduce
MICROTAR is programmed for Zone 1 when it leaves the factory. If there
is any call to programme it for another zone, press the button
gain access to the area-programming sub-mode. Use the + and - keys
to choose the desired area. Press

SUMMER-WINTER CLOCK CHANGE.
TIME DISCRIMINATIONS.
During normal operation, press the

UPDATING PROGRAMMED INFORMATION
If there is any need to introduce new tariff time, remove the data
transmission terminal cover. Introduce the external memory with the new
data until it clicks into place. Press the key

. Digits will indicate the percentage of data input until it
reaches 100%.
Withdraw the memory and replace the connector cover. The device will
keep the selected tariff type and zone and will not require further
programming.
CHANGING THE BATTERY
MICROTAR is fitted with a Lithium battery as a reserve for keeping the
time and day in case of power cuts. The battery should be changed on
the date indicated on the front of the device. The display will indicate a
low battery level and of the need for it to be changed If for any reason
the battery should run out before the expected date, The battery is
changed by removing the battery support, levering it out through the slot
on the right. Note the correct battery position, replace it and insert the
holder back into its support.
