1. GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
1.4 This appliance must only be used for the purpose for which it was
specifically intended (see DESCRIPTION). Any other use is inappropriate
and, as a result, dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible
for any damage resulting from improper, incorrect or unreasonable use.
1.5 Use of this appliance on animals is strictly prohibited.
1.6 Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance, disconnect the plug from
the mains power socket.
Do not clean the appliance with cloths soaked in detergent solution, as this
may cause infiltration of liquid into the appliance itself. Using a chamois
moistened with water is recommended.
1.7 In case of failure and/or malfunction of the appliance, switch it off and do not
tamper with it. Repairs must be carried out by specialised or authorised
personnel. Always request that original replacement parts are used.
1.8 It is strictly prohibited for unauthorised or non-specialised personnel to
tamper with the appliance or to use tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches
etc. to open it.
1.9 When this appliance is no longer required for use, it is recommended that
the following steps be taken to render it inoperative:
unplug it from the mains socket
cut the power lead.
After rendering the appliance inoperative, the appliance itself and
plug must be disposed of correctly.
1.10 It is dangerous to stretch the power lead while in use. Do not leave the
appliance plugged in when not in use.
1.11 To avoid danger of overheating, unwind the power lead to its full length. Do
not obstruct air or cooling vents.
1.12 In the event of damage to the power lead, replace immediately with a lead
with equivalent specifications.
1.13 To offer additional protection, install a differential circuit breaker with a
nominal trip current no greater than 30 mA. Contact your electrician for
installation.
1.14 Using the appliance to dry towels, napkins etc. is strictly prohibited as it
impedes proper air flow through the air vents.
