16-Way Modular Patch Panels

Socket module/panel assembly
Assemble socket modules to panels as shown in fig. 1. Socket modules
may be mounted in any panel (1 to 2mm thickness) hole size 24.1 x
16.1mm. Use RS hole cutter, RS stock no. 545-367.
Wire termination
Terminate wires in the range 20 - 26 a.w.g. using RS punch down tools,
RS stock no. 470-487 or 470-128 as shown in fig. 2.
Panel wiring with outriggers
Fit the outriggers in the position to be occupied by the patch panel,
securing the outriggers using screws A see fig. 3. Resting the patch
panel on the outriggers, tighten screws B to hold the panel firmly. Wire
the panel as shown in fig. 3 using the anchor loops to route the wire
through the central slot in the panel. Use cable ties as appropriate.
With the outriggers removed, mount the panel to the racking and fit the
rear cover over the back of the panel to protect wires.
