4.2 Checking the Pump

Before starting work on the pump, make
sure that the electricity supply has been
switched off and that it cannot be acciden-
tally switched on.
Under normal operating conditions, the pump is
maintenance-free.
If the pump does not deliver a sufficient quantity of
water, it may be worn, blocked by impurities, etc. In
this case, the pump should be dismantled, checked
and cleaned, if required.
Dismantling of the pump, see fig. 5.

1. Disconnect the electricity supply.
2. Remove the strainer by means of a screwdriver
or a similar tool, see fig. 4.
3. Slacken the screw at the bottom of the pump and
remove the pump housing.
4. Clean the strainer, the impeller, the pump hous-
ing and the discharge port.
Check that the pump parts are intact and that the
impeller is free to rotate and to move up and
down.
Replace possible defective parts, see section

4.3 Replacement of Parts.

5. Assemble the pump. Take care not to damage the
rubber gasket (O-ring). To facilitate the fitting of
the gasket, moisten it with water.
If the pump has been used for chlorinated water or
other liquids than clean water, it must be flushed
through with clean water after use.
