System grease gun
ENG
Use of the system grease gun
The two-handed gun is ideal if the pressure and lubricant quantities of normal grease guns are
not sufficient.
The system grease gun for 500g cartouches guarantees the best possible ease of use and
ideal machine care – certified by the German Technical Control Board (TÜV) and awarded with
the GS-mark.
The advantages of the system grease gun, at a glance:
- Ideal for long lubrication lines.
- Complete emptying of container due to the vacuum principle.
- Grease, fill level, and user and security information are always clearly visible, since the
container is not covered.
- Changing a partly-emptied container is possible anytime.
- Grease is protected against contamination since no components within the container will
become permeable.
- Grease press only consists of a few parts – the best possible condition for less potential
defects and problem free use.
1. Screw off cartouche cap.
2. There might be a small amount of air in the thread area. The air can be
pressed out of the cartouche by applying small amounts of pressure on
the middle part of the cartouche. This ensures a faster release of the
content. Small amounts of air in the grease do not hamper functionality.
3. Screw the cartouche into the grease gun as far as it will go. Then
operate the grease gun until grease comes out of the reinforced tube
(3-5 passes).
4. The press is now ready for use. Since the grease gun is not operated
with a spring action, it may not be operated jerkily, but has to be opened
swiftly and completely with every stroke, while the operation has to be
paused as soon as the grease gun is completely open to allow it to work
properly. Depending on the grease type and the temperature the pause
ought to be up to 3 seconds in order to ensure a sufficient capacity within
the forcer chamber. The resistance when pressing the arms together
might occur earlier depending on the capacity.
Important safety note:
Our two-handed grease guns have the GS-Mark = "tested safety".
They are designed for an operating pressure of 400 bar according to
DIN 1283 and this is calculated with a significant safety premium. They require far less
pressure than normal grease guns. If too much force is used to operate the grease guns
it may be possible to overstress the grease gun and to damage it on one of the predetermined
breaking points.
