THERMOSTATIC EXPANSION VALVE
TXVH INSTRUCTIONS
TXVH series thermostatic expansion valves are used
to regulate refrigerant flow rate into the evaporator
while controlling the refrigerant´s superheat at the
outlet of the evaporator. They can be used for various
refrigerants under all working conditions.
GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
Applicable to fluids and refrigerants of GROUP 2 according to Directive 2014/68/EU or GROUP A1
according to ANSI-ASHRAE 34-2010.

Install the TXV upright with the power
element orientated at the top. Evaporators
with liquid distributors require TXVs with
external equalizers.

THREADED VERSION: Braze the inlet adaptor to
the liquid line with Sil-Fos® 15 (recommended)
before attaching to the TXV.

SOLDER VERSION: Cover the TXV body and

power element with a wet rag before brazing.
Braze the inlet, outlet and external equalizer
(if present) with Sil-Fos® 15 (recommended).

Insert the properly sized orifice and install the
adaptor to the TXV inlet. Tighten the adaptor
using two wrenches to the required torque
illustrated in step 4.
