Miscellaneous

Indicator lamp

On the front of the door transmitter there is an indicator lamp which shines green when someone
rings the door bell or presses the test button. This shows that the door transmitter functions. The
lamp shines red when the battery is low.
Batteries
The door transmitter is powered with a 9V battery which is placed under the battery panel on the
back of the door transmitter. Suitable batteries are lithium batteries which last for approx. 10 years,
or alkaline batteries which last for approx. 5 years. If the test lamp shines red when the door trans-
mitter is activated it is time to change the battery.
Range
The range between the receiver and transmitters is approx. 30 metres but is infl uenced by the thick-
ness of the walls and the wall materials in the house or apartment. Thick concrete and metal walls
limit the range. The range is also infl uenced when the batteries are low.
Radio channel
On delivery all units are set to the same radio channel. If you change the channel in the telephone
transmitter you must also change the channel in all other Visit units.
Settings
The switches for setting the radio channel are located under the battery cover. You set the channel
by changing the position of one or more of the radio switches. The switches for changing signal tone
character and pitch are also placed under the battery cover. For more information, please see the
inside of the battery cover.
