Installation tips
1)
For best performance use earthed wall outlets.
2)
For best performance place directly into a wall
outlet rather than an extension lead.
3)
The device cannot communicate with separate
cable circuits.
4)
Disable the modem Wi-Fi provided by your
operator for better performance from the
Technetix Wi-Fi unit. If the Powerline cable is used
by other household appliances, it can impact on
performance, particularly when devices have a
high electrical consumption rate. Locate the Wi-Fi
unit(s) away from devices that are heavy
electrical consumers, alternatively use the
Powerline plug for the high consumption device.
The Powerline unit has a filter which will prevent
disturbance.
5)
A Wi-Fi signal does not transmit well through
floors and ceilings, it is recommended that a unit
is placed on each floor where a high signal is
required.
6)
A Wi-Fi signal does not transmit well through
electronics or metals – for example, it is not
recommended that a unit is placed behind a TV.
