SELECTING A TEMPERATURE SCALE
1. Temperature readings are
available in the Celsius (ºC)
or Fahrenheit (ºF) scale.
(See Figure 8)
2. With the thermometer off,
press and hold the start button
for three seconds to enter unit changing mode.
3. Press and release the start button to select the unit.
When the preferred unit appears on the display, press
the power on/off button
CHANGING MODES
Press the forehead mode/object mode button
switch between forehead mode and object mode.
FOREHEAD MODE
1.
Press the power on/off button
The display is activated to show all
segments. After self-checking,
the start up screen appears on the
display screen with beeps, indicating
that a new measurement can be
started. (See Figure 9)
2. Aim the thermometer at the center
of the forehead with a distance of
2-3 cm and then press the start button.
(See Figure 10)
NOTE: Do not remove the
thermometer from the forehead
before hearing the final beep. A waiting
period of three seconds between testing is
recommended to ensure complete accuracy.
3. Read the temperature on the display.
4. Press the power on/off button
BACKLIGHT
1. The display will turn green for three seconds
with a happy face
for measurement and when a measurement is
completed with a reading less than 99.1ºF.
2. The display will turn yellow for three seconds with a
happy face
when a measurement is completed
with a reading less than 100ºF.
3. The display will turn red for three seconds with a sad
face
when a measurement is completed with a
reading equal to or higher than 100ºF.

OBJECT MODE
1.
Press the power on/off button
on the thermometer. User can take the
object temperature after two beep
sounds. (See Figure 11)
2. Aim the thermometer at the center of
the object to measure with a distance
of 1-2 cm.
3. Press the start button, and then read the
temperature on the display.
4. Press the power on/off button
AFTER MEASUREMENT

Device will automatically shut off if left idle for more
than one minute to extend battery life.
2. Clean probe after each use to ensure an accurate
reading and prevent cross-contamination. See the
Care and Cleaning section on page 5 for details.
MEMORY MODE
The memory mode can be accessed in either mode.
1.
When the thermometer has been
turned on or finished testing, press and
hold the power on/off button
seconds. The letter M will appear in
the center right corner of display.

2. The thermometer will automatically
memorize the last 10 temperature
readings. Each memory also records
the measurement date/time/mode icon.
Each time the power on/off button
is pressed, the screen displays past
readings that correspond with a
number 1-10. Number 1 reflects the most recent
reading, while number 10 reflects the oldest reading
stored in memory. (See Figure 13)
