Drivers Installation
INTEGRAL eSATA drive is supported by Mass Storage Device within
Windows 2000/XP/VISTA and MAC 9.0 (and above) systems directly. You
do not need to install any additional drivers.
When the USB External Drive is used for the first time your PC system will
detect a USB 2.0 Storage Device and automatically install the drivers for
[USB Mass Storage Device]
from the installed system.
Disconnecting
WARNING!
Do not unplug the USB data or power cable when using the INTEGRAL
eSATA 2.5" enclosure. DOING THIS MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF DATA!
When disconnecting your Integral eSATA drive from the computer,
close all windows and quit all running applications that are stored on
the USB2.0 External Drive

Windows 2000/XP/Vista

1. Double-click on the
[Unplug arrow
icon or Eject Hardware]
icon in the
system tray. Dialog box appears as on
the right.
2. Highlight the
[USB Mass Storage
Device]
in the dialog box, click on
[Stop], choose the USB2.0 External
Drive that you want to disconnect,
[Stop]
then click on
again on next
screen.
3. Wait for a few seconds, the system
prompts
"You may safely remove
this
device".
4. You can now safely unplug the USB data cable from the USB port
of the computer / enclosure.
Mac OS 9.0 or later
To dismount the USB2.0 External Drive's drag it's icon
"Trash"
into
and prior unplugging.

USB Connection
eSATA mode
NOTE:
1. The eSATA connection is only avaliable when a SATA HDD
is used. Motherboard or adapter card with eSATA interface is
required. Make sure the SATA interface driver is installed
and eSATA port is enabled in BIOS.
2. eSATA is only Hot Swappable with compatible motherboards
Connection
1. Make sure the computer system is switched off.
2. Connect one end of the supplied eSATA cable to the motherboard's
eSATA external port. If the port is not present you may need to install eSATA
adapter.
3. Connect the other end of the eSATA cable to your INTEGRAL eSATA 2.5"
enclosure.
4. Slide the switch on the INTEGRAL eSATA enclosure to the eSATA postition.
5. Ensure the power cable is connected (see power connection chapter).
6. Boot-up your computer into Windows / MAC OS.
7. Let Windows/MAC search and install the driver automatically.
8. Open "My Computer"(in Windows) / Check "desktop" (in MAC) to see your
external hard drive ready to use.
NOTE:
1. If the hard disk is new and has not been partitioned and formated yet,
please refer to the
2. Do not connect both (USB data and eSATA) cables at the same time.
