Your CC-265 is an A.C. voltage detector, designed in
accordance with the IEC 61243-1 (2003) standard and
amendment A1 (2009). It is suitable to 50/60 Hz energy
transport networks.
WARNING
When performing no voltage checks, operators must wear Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE), in line with the applicable local regulations: Insulating
gloves, protective footwear and clothing, helmet with face shield, etc.
The rated voltage of the facility to be checked must be within the voltage range
indicated on the detector body. The device must be used with an insulating pole
having characteristics that are compatible with the networks voltage and the
conditions of use. Run an autotest before and after the no voltage check.
A reliable no voltage check will be performed:
• if the device is placed as far as possible from any surrounding metallic
ground (either to earth or potential). Avoid cable terminations, right-angle
configurations, and anti-corona rings (presence of
disruptive voltage).
• if its axis (shown in the figure opposite) is at a right-angle
to the live line.
• if the detector in not entirely in an equipotential field.
The voltage detector should be cleaned with alcohol or a product
that leaves no residue in case of temporary use in rain.
Do not use the device if frost is present; wipe it if frost or
condensation forms.
Do not use the device if it is too cracked or damaged.
Do not use the device if you doubt its integrity.
Fitting/removing the end-piece
The voltage detector CC-265 is delivered with
3 end-pieces (C, K and W types) to fit with the
insulating pole to be used. Select the relevant
end-piece and screw it in until you reach the
stop while checking that the:
- lower part of the end-piece is in contact with
the back of the detector,
- tightening torque is close to 5 N.m. (see image A)
Fitting the battery
see images B
- Unscrew the back of the detector in the
direction of the arrow.
