POWER SOURCE

This unit operates on 8 X „C‟ (UM-2) size batteries or from AC120V/60Hz line power supply.
A. DC POWER OPERATION
1. Open the Battery Cover (#18).
2. Insert 8 "C" (UM-2) size batteries (not included) according to the polarity diagram on the back cabinet.
3. Close the Battery Cover (#18).
IMPORTANT: Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly. Wrong polarity may damage the unit.
Note: For better performance and longer operating time, we recommend the use of alkaline-type batteries.
(a) Do not mix old and new batteries.
(b) Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
If the unit is not to be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries. Old or leaking batteries can cause
damage to the unit and may void the warranty.
B. AC OPERATION
1. Connect the included AC Power Cord to the AC Mains (#17) on the back of the unit.
2. Connect the other end of the AC Power Cord to a wall outlet with AC120V/60Hz power supply.

CD PLAYER OPERATION

1.
Set the Function Selector (#2) to the "CD" position.

Open the CD Door (#7). Place an audio CD with its label side upward in the CD compartment and close the
CD Door.
3.
After a few seconds, the total number of tracks on the CD will appear in the LCD Display (#6).

Press the CD PLAY/PAUSE Button (#11) and the CD will start playing from the first track. The LCD Display will
light steadily.
5.
Adjust the Volume Control (#3) to obtain the desired sound level from the Speakers (#16).

To suspend playing, press the CD PLAY/PAUSE Button (#11). The LCD Display will flash. To resume playing,
press the CD PLAY/PAUSE Button (#11) again.

You can choose to play your favorite track directly by pressing the Skip + / Skip- Buttons (#15) to skip forward or
backward. The LCD Display (#6) will indicate the correct track number selected.

To repeat playing a particular track, press the REPEAT Button (#12) once.

11. When you wish to turn off the CD player, set the Function Selector (#2) to the "OFF" position.

MP3 PLAYER OPERATION

1. PLAY / PAUSE
Press the PLAY / PAUSE button (# 11) once to play an MP3 and double click the same button to suspend it.
2. You can select to play your favorite track directly if you press Skip+/Skip- (#15) to move forward or backward.
The LCD display (# 6) will show the selected track number.
3. To repeat playback of a particular track, press REPEAT (#12) once.
4. To repeat the entire CD playback, press REPEAT (#12) twice.
5. To stop playback, press the STOP button (#5).
